Get those competitive juices flowing. People love to compete against others, and they also love receiving prizes when they win.

It offers something that giveaways and free prizes just can’t provide.

Also, the opportunities for competitions are endless. If you plan it right, you can even get yourself some free advertising.

For example, a great idea for a competition would be a content-creation competition where users submit graphics, video, artwork, or any visual element. At the end of this competition, you have all kinds of content and advertising to use.

Just make sure that the prize is worth everyone’s time.

Feature Your Customers in Your Posts

Everyone loves to get a little bit of attention.

One huge mistake that many companies make in their marketing plan is that they do not involve their customers enough. These companies often end up coming across as cold, boring, spammy, and just another company that wants to take your money.

However, you can fix that perception by being inclusive with your marketing campaigns.

For example, something that works great on Instagram is asking customers to tag your company in pictures related to your industry so that you can feature them on your page.

What this could look like would be a supplement or fitness company asking for its followers to send in pictures of themselves working out or making progress.

One of the biggest mistakes that we often see is that companies do not interact with their customers enough.

On their pages, there are comments with no replies and questions with no answers. The point of social media is to be exactly that: social.

People want to see that you are a real person that cares about customers, and the best way to do that is to have real conversations with people. Every single time there is a comment or a question on your page, you should answer it.

What’s even better? Ask them a question.

The more questions you ask, the more conversations you can have with your followers. People want to be a part of an active community.
